Faculty Tenure-track Position in Organic Chemistry, Fall 2017

The Department of Chemistry at Adelphi University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in organic chemistry beginning August 2017. A Ph.D. in chemistry is required, preferably with an emphasis in polymers; additional post-doctoral or industrial experience is also highly preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in organic chemistry, special topics courses related to one’s field, and on occasion courses in general chemistry or physiological chemistry as needed. The candidate must also be committed to establishing a high-quality, externally-funded research program involving undergraduate students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
