The Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in organic or analytical chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The Assistant Professor will be expected to teach chemistry courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; advise graduate and undergraduate students; generate a scholarly publication record; participate in technical committees and outreach activities; and engage in interdisciplinary research and collaboration. The chemistry department has a thriving graduate program that is well funded through external grants and numerous teaching assistant positions.
