Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Swenson College of Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota Duluth
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the Swenson College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth has a tenure track assistant professor position in experimental materials chemistry available starting August 19, 2019.
The position is a new hire planned for the new Applied Materials Science (AMS) program at UMD. Duties: Teaching graduate level polymer and/or materials science courses; teaching lower level undergraduate chemistry courses and upper-level undergraduate or graduate-level in their specialty areas in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Research, and Service.
Required Qualifications:
* PhD in chemistry or closely related field from a from a regionally accredited university
* Evidence of potential to develop a successful independent, externally funded research program in experimental polymer
materials chemistry
* Evidence of teaching experience, such as serving as a teaching assistant or instructor
* Ability to communicate effectively in written form
